Skydiving is an experience that's the ultimate adrenaline pumping activity, perfect for thrill seekers, fund raisers and daredevils.
Skydiving in Salisbury will usually be scheduled to start in the morning, where you will undergo a briefing with the amazing GoSkydive instructors. This skydiving in Salisbury experience has a training session that will last approximately 15 minutes and is approved by the British Parachute Association. Safety is pinnacle at GoSkydive and they are one of the only skydiving centres in the world that offer such a level of training.
You will then be kitted up in a tandem skydiving outfit and your safety harness will be fitted. Next up you will take to the suspension area, where you will be suspended, this allows you to practice the freefall techniques and landing positions. It's then you'll be off to the aircraft, where your skydiving instructor will secure his harness to yours and then the flight will depart!
The aircraft used in this skydiving experience in Wiltshire is a Cessna Super Cargomaster, the pilot, will fly up the altitude and your 10000 feet skydive over Salisbury will commence. The Cessna Super Cargomaster is one of the fastest aeroplanes used to take skydivers to their altitude, so you will only have a 8-10 minute flight, although it is very scenic and it should be possible for you to be able to see such sights as Stonehenge and Old Sarum.
Now it's time to jump! You will freefall to earth at about 125 MPH for 30 seconds, this is a feeling like no other and the rush is beyond explanation. The parachute will be deployed by the instructor and then your decent back to solid ground slows to about 30 MPH, the instructor may try some high-speed turns and let you take control. You will come into land and carry out the relevant training for your landing that took place earlier.
