The itinerary for this steam train holiday of Wales... 

Day 1: Arrive into Wales, you will pass by one of three Welsh National Parks the Brecon Beacons National Park. In the afternoon you'll be able to check into your accommodation, which will be your base for the next couple of nights. On day one of your steam train holiday meals are not included but your accommodation in Brecon Beacons is included.

Day 2: Brecon Mountain Railway: For the second day of your Welsh steam train holiday, you will spend it at the Brecon Mountain Railway, where you will board a narrow-gauge train that runs through the Brecon Beacons and along the length of the Pontsticill Reservoir. The scenery from here is gorgeous, enjoy some of the beautiful walks around the beautiful waterfalls and spend the afternoon exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park. Main meals are included as well as Breakfast and your accommodation in Brecon Beacons.

Day 3: Bala Lake Railway: As you leave the Brecon Beacons behind you'll travel north to visit the charming town of Bala. From Brecon Beacons, heading towards Bala Lake Railway there are numerous astounding sights to behold along the way, including Llyn Tegid. Also keep an eye out for the wildlife nestling alongside this line! Breakfast included and overnight accommodation in Snowdonia is also included.

Day 4: Ffestiniog Railway: You will visit Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways including the slate-quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog in the morning, which is in the very centre of Snowdonia. In this part of your Wales steam train holiday you'll get to experience Ffestiniog, a town rich in history, you'll get the chance to explore the Llechwedd Slate Caverns and take part in an underground tour (not included in the price). The train for day four of your Welsh steam train tour will be the Ffestiniog Railway, which takes a much gentler pace than some of the other train in this train tour of Wales. Breakfast included and accommodation in Snowdonia is also included.

Day 5: Snowdon Mountain Railway, stopping off at Llanberis Station, you'll travel south-bound on day five of your train tour of Wales. There is plenty of discovering to do in the magical mid-Wales. You will get to climb onto the Snowdon Mountain Railway on nday five, you will then head up to the peak of the highest mountain in England and Wales – Mount. Snowdon. The views from the top of Mount Snowdon are absolutely phenomenal, probably the best in the UK. Overnight accommodation in Mid-Wales is included with breakfast

Day 6: Vale of Rheidol Railway in Aberystwyth on the northwest coast of Wales. Here you will get to spend some time during the morning exploring the wonderfu west coast of Wales before embarking on your steam train for the day. It's all aboard The Vale of Rheidol Railway, which stretches 12 miles, here you;ll be able to absorb some breathtaking scenery as your train tour of Wales sends you up the edge of the valley to the mythical Devil's Bridge. You will then get the chance to explore the area further taking in the sights of the beautiful waterfalls. Breakfast and overnight accommodation included.

Day 7: Cardiff Bay, Wales, spend your morning exploring the bustling capital city of Wales, stop off at St Fagans National Museum of History and take the opportunity to visit one of Europe's leading open-air museums, here you'll discover how people in Wales used to live, work and spend their leisure time. Breakfast and accommodation included in Cardiff.

Day 8: The final day of your Welsh steam train holiday will be spent in Cardiff. Breakfast included.
